Four Volumes. (4to) 26.5x20 cm (10½x8"), vellum, spines stamped and lettered in gilt, marbled edges. First Edition. 

A critical exposition of Gratian's Decretum.  Carlo Sebastiano Berardi (1719-1768) was an Italian Roman Catholic priest and canon lawyer. Gratian (Medieval Latin: Gratianus) was a canon lawyer from Bologna who flourished in the mid 12th century. Institutional call number at foot of spine, stamps to title page, library pocket affixed to rear pastedown..

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
