Woodcut printer's emblem on title page, engraved primary headpiece, ornamental initials. (12mo) 15.5x8.5 cm (6¼x3½"), old vellum lettered in gilt on morocco spine label. 

A revised edition, printed in Venice, of the Principles of Penitence and Conversion first published in Turin. Jérôme Besoigne was a Jansenist writer (1686-1763) , author of the History of the Abbey of Port Royal.
