"Lessons to be Learned from the Ancients", a pedagogic work based on teachings by classical Latin authors. Originally written as "De documentis antiquorum" (which itself was not printed until 1601), around 1305 it was translated into the Florentine vernacular by Bartolomeo, in which language it was first printed in 1585. It has been described as being both a treatise of philosophy and a manual of virtue. Only six copies of the present edition are listed in OCLC/WorldCat.
