Volumes 1 & 2 (of 3), bound in 1. [4], 3-197, [3 blank]; 162 [i.e. 163], [1 blank] pp. (a10 [-a1? a blank?], b-m8, n4, aaa-iii8, kkk10). Text in Greek, title pages in Greek & Latin, colophon (at end of volume 2) in Latin. Spaces for initials, not rubricated. Each title page with an dolphin printer's device. (Folio) 31x20 cm (12¼x8"), early full vellum, spine titled in gilt.
Fine example of Aldus Manutius' Greek printing, on thick paper with wide margins, very clean. There were three volumes in all, but often the first two are bound together, as in the present case, and the third volume is not always present in library holdings. OCLC/WorldCat lists seven complete or partial sets, locating five of them, only one in the United States.
