Complete set of this series for girls started late in Baum's life - the fifth in the series, the last he wrote, was posthumously published. The publishers sought to continue the series, hiring Emma Speed Sampson to write further volumes, with the last two being an attempt at a spin-off. The second and fourth volumes in the present set have dust jackets. Bienvenue & Schmidt pp. 334-340.
