[1-4] 5-96 pp. Black-and-white illustrations and photographs of type foundrys throughout. Folio (15x11½"), full white cloth, brown illustration of a man sitting at a type foundry and gilt lettering on the front board, grey pictorial endpapers featuring a pattern of pieces of type with a round pictorial vignette on each endpaper, full-colour title page with decorative borders featuring pink and green flowers. 

Prior owner gift inscription "Given in 1968 / by Benjamin E. Darby II / Publisher / Daily Peoples Press" on the front free endpaper by Benjamin E. Darby II, publisher of the "Daily People's Press" which later became the "Owattona People's Press" in 1969 and is still in publication today; his father, Benjamin E. Darby, started the "Daily People's Press" in 1916 and was greatly involved in the community of Owattona, Minnesota.

Lot Amendments

Some overall soiling to the boards, rubbing to the head and tail of the spine and to the bottom edges of the boards, some offsetting to the page opposite the title page, and a very slight crack along the rear hinge.

We have a full service shipping department to ensure proper packing and safe delivery of purchases at reasonable cost. We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
