Two volumes. Engraved vignettes throughout chiefly after work by J.M.W. Turner and Thomas Stothard. 8vo, original binding - paper covered boards with printed paper spine label. First Editions with these illustrations (of both books) and the first complete edition of Italy in one volume.
Executed by some of the best line-engravers of the day. Most importantly, they include Edward Goodall (1795-1870), William Finden (1787-1852), and Wm. Bernard Cooke (1778-1855). Italy has the announcement of an earlier edition of the Poems; and Poems has three pages of Moxon ads (dated Dec. 1, 1833). These two works were originally issued in 1822-1823, and in 1812.
