Color lithographed bird's-eye view. 32.8x80.8 cm (13x31¾") plus title and key in lower margin, on sheet 51x86 cm (20x33¾"), 

Panoramic view of the small city of San Francisco, buildings slowly creeping up the hills, boats crowding the harbor. Drawn and first published in 1849, with a number of 19th century re-issues. This is the seventh state, according to Reps. Reps 340; Baird & Evans 8g. OCLC/WorldCat lists only one example of this issue, at the University of California Berkeley.

Condition:
Paper darkened, brittle, cracking in places with tape repairs on verso, a few short marginal tears, staining in lower margin (affecting key) and at right edge (intruding into image). Good condition.

We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
