[32], 472 pp. Device of Cardinal Julio Alberono on title page, historiated initials, (4to) 33.4x23.5 cm (13¼x8¾"), old vellum, lettered in gilt on red morocco spine label, raised bands. 

Thomassino or Louis Thomassin d'Eynac was a theologian and canonist. He is, next to Pierre de Bérulle, the most important theologian of the French oratory in the 17th century. As a result of his legal and liturgical history works, he is considered the "father of legal history". Dissertationum in concilia generalia et particularia was first published in 1667. Institutional call number at foot of spine, institutional stamps on title page, half-title,  and endpapers.

Lot Amendments

Light rubbing to spine label, boards bowed slightly, lightly bumped corners, note pasted to rear board with fading lettering; toning to mildly rippled pages; very good.

We have a full service shipping department to ensure proper packing and safe delivery of purchases at reasonable cost. We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
