Four autograph letters signed by Brett Weston, with envelopes. The proof images are approx 7.5.5 cm each - on 1 strip of 3 images, 3 strips of 2 images, and 2 single images.

Interesting correspondence between photographer and subject. In November 1985 he writes from Honolulu, stating he has "been confined with a badly broken ankle but am on the mend... Enjoyed meeting you Joyce! Lets keep in touch and do a portrait of that magnificent head!!" In March of 1986, still in Hawaii, he is "leaving here March 18. If you are in Carmel on the 21st please call - we will do Portraits and perhaps have dinner? Foot is better but still lingering..." In a letter dated 4-1-86 (but probably May 1st, as the postmark is May 3) he is "very keen to see you and hear about your trip. Here are rough proofs. I feel we can do better however, Joyce."  In the final letter, dated 5-3-86 he is "looking forward to seeing you down here Joyce and doing more Portraits... Leaving on a South West Camera trip Monday 5th for two weeks..."
