The life of St. John of Capestrano (1386-1456), Franciscan friar and Catholic priest from the Italian town of Capestrano, Abruzzo, known as the "Soldier Saint" for leading a crusade against invading Ottoman Turks. OCLC/WorldCat locates only seven copies.

Lot Amendments

Spine strip perished, insect damage to top left corner of front cover affecting corner of half title and the top edge of title and a few following leaves, short tear at foot of title; some light foxing within, darkening to a few pages; very good.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
