xii, 199, erratta pp. One engraved portrait plate, two fold-out maps at rear, one color. (8vo) 20.5x13 cm (8x5"), later half calf and marbled boards, gilt-decorated spine with red morocco spine label lettered in gilt.  Second Edition. 

With color fold-out map of "The Ecclesiastical State" and a fold-out map of Rome. Scarce account of the dealings between the Revolutionary French forces and the Papal Government.

Lot Amendments

Light rubbing to extremities; darkening to corners of initial leaves, scattered light foxing, some offsetting to maps; very good.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
