Complete in 2 volumes. [12], 404; [6], 344 pp. Title pages with printer's device; head and tail pieces; printed in double columns. (Folio) 37.5x22 cm (14¼x9"), full period vellum, titles inked on spines, marbled edges.

Commentary on Apostolic Constitutions, or Individual Bulls of the Popes. Cardinal Petra begins with Pope Leo the Great (d. 461) and ends with Pope Gregory IX (d. 1241).

Lot Amendments

Good amount of staining and soiling to vellum, library numbers in ink at heel of spines; small library sticker in Russian on front pastedowns, interiors sound with minor wormholing to pastedowns, light toning and scattered foxing; very good.

We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
