Description:

[8], 124, [8]; [8], 63, [8] pp. Bound in at the rear are 40 pages of an additional work (Observatio i de Ordinatione Feudali...), followed by an additional 18 leaves continuing the work in manuscript. With woodcut devices, initials, head and tail pieces. Text in German and Latin. (4to), bound in later half vellum and decorative boards, inked titles on spine.

One of the early professors of the Düsseldorf Academy of Law, Melchior Voets (1618-1675), was the author of two Kurkölnische Rechts Court regulations and numerous works of history and law. Rare.

Fair amount of soiling to vellum and boards, rubbing to extremities; early manuscript notes and armorial label on front pastedown, toning and occasional early ink marginalia and underlining; very good.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
