Lot closed - unsold
$200 - $300

Humorous letter to Lenny Bruce from a fan who caught Bruce’s act in Baltimore in February 1961

Meyers, J.E.

Baltimore, MD

11 Feb. 1961

Autograph letter, in ink, signed with initials.

A one-page holographic letter and mock basketball ticket - from a fan who caught Bruce’s act in Baltimore in February 1961. Probably retained by Bruce because it skillfully satirizes his act. “I thought you might be interested in a basketball game we going to have…” with a ticket drawn at the bottom for a basketball game between the Ku Klux Klan and Knights of Columbus, sponsored by the NAACP  to benefit the Jewish Relief Fund, with Russian referees and “beer served by Baptists.”

Lot Amendments

Punchholes at top edge along with tape residue; very good.
