Letter from Lenny Bruce to Seymour, referring to Judy Garland

Bruce, Lenny

September 1958

Autograph letter, one page, in ink, on The Croyden hotel letterhead.

Bruce writes that he “Will be home monday no jobs yet except unimportant ones. Judy Garland came last night and flipped over me with Sid Luft. See you soon…” The note is oddly signed “Gabel” but it is clearly Bruce’s handwriting; there’s probably a story there… one of Garland’s early film songs was “Dear Mr Gable, You Made Me Love You.”

Lot Amendments

Some wrinkling, punchholes at top margin; very good.
