This is what appears to be a limited edition copy of the first issue, marked "#9" and signed by Bukowski, Steve Richmond, Neeli Cherry, and Harold Norse on the inside of the front wrapper. The additional signature of Fred Dyer was an alias used by Cherry in the volume. The illustration that appears next to the signatures is a combination drawing by both Bukowski and Cherry. The issue also includes work by Doug Blazek, Tom Kryss, Jack Micheline and Jerome Rothenberg, among others. It is unknown how many of these signed and numbered copies exist. 

The infamous periodical was founded in1969 and co-edited by Bukowski and Neeli Cherkovski, intended as an alternative to the Black Mountain School Review. Both admitted they made up names and wrote poetry for the periodical since it was so difficult to get good poetry from contributors.
