[4], xxxvi, 725, [5] pp. With 3 engraved plates. (8vo) 19.5x12.5 cm (7¾x4¾"), period full red morocco stamped in gilt on front and rear covers with the arms of Marie Leszczyńska, Polish-born noblewoman and Queen Consort to French King Louis XV; spine tooled in gilt, raised bands, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt.

Procedures for the observance of Holy Week, preceding Easter. This printing is dedicated to the Queen of France, and issued for the use of her household, the attractive binding bearing her arms. Marie Leszczyńska (1703-1768), daughter of King Stanislaw I of Poland, married Louis XV of France in 1725, and served as queen consort of France until her death in 1768, the longest tenure of any queen of France.

We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
