The first book by the future historian and philosopher, John Fiske. An essay written in response to the historian James Parton's Smoking and Drinking in which Parton denounces the use of tobacco and alcohol. Fiske writes his essay much like a book review, taking point-by-point issue with Parton. BAL 5993.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
