Scarce edition, with only one listing found at OCLC. The spine of the modern binding incorrectly gives the date of publication as 1856.

Richard Henry Dana Jr was an American lawyer and politician from Massachusetts, a descendant of an eminent colonial family, who gained renown as the author of the classic American memoir Two Years Before the Mast. Both as a writer and as a lawyer, he was a champion of the downtrodden, from seamen to fugitive slaves and freedmen.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
