Biography of the renowned 'Pathmarker' published as he was poised to run for President of the United States, containing accounts of his expeditions to the West. Wagner-Camp notes: "This work is considered to be one of the best of several campaign biographies to appear after John C. Fremont was nominated as the first Republican candidate for the Presidency. It is thought to have been taken from documents other than those which furnished the background for the Fremont Memoirs. Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
