Rare and rather elaborate promotional booklet/prospectus for this Michigan land company selling swampland in Florida. Nestled next to Lake Okeechobee, and bisected by the proposed route of the Atlantic Okeechobee & Gulf R.R., the land offered unparalleled opportunity for the prospective farmer and settler, with countless statistics comparing the profits to made in Florida with those of other states. Statistics also demonstrate that one will live longer in Florida. There is a page of photographs showing prospective farmers arriving by boat. No copies of this booklet are located in OCLC.
