Rare issues of this rather jocular internal newsletter put out by the Camp Hawkins Bar outpost of the Civilian Conservation Corps, with news, opinion, current events, humor, instruction, and more. Included are two original photographs (from the same negative) of a bird's-eye view of the camp, a half-dozen or so buildings nestled in the woods. Company 1905, CCC, was organized on May 29, 1933, at Mad River Camp in the Eureka District. It was moved to Camp Hawkins Bar F-33 on November 4, 1935. OCLC/WorldCat lists two institutional libraries with runs of The Tall Tree Tattler, Humboldt State University and the University of California, Berkeley.
