Rare account of a scientific and ethnographic expedition to Equatorial East Africa and Uganda by the German ethnographer and heir to the Schoeller sugar fortune. His companions included Alfred Kaiser and Carl Georg Schilling. The studies were detailed and valuable, with numerous depictions of the peoples and artifacts of the regions, and important maps of the interior.
