6 illustrated fine miniature letterpress volumes. Various sizes and limitations.

Juniper Von Phitzer is the press and pen name of Lloyd L. Neilson of San Francisco. He combined the names of his three cats to create this imprint. A selection of wonderfully bound miniature works.


  • A Latin Abecedarian. (2 copies).  Maroon morocco decorated in gilt, all edges gilt. Both one of 225 copies. One is No. 28, the other unnumbered, a keepsake from the 1998 MBS Conclave. Both copies signed by Juniper Von Phitzer. The press' first book. 1985.
  • Shadrach S. Stevens' Speculations. Green morocco decorated in gilt, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. Signed by Juniper Von Phitzer.No. 41 of 100 copies. 1988.
  • Hiemstra, Marvin R. Summer Mountains. Decorative wrappers, envelope with decorative label. Published for the MBS Conclave, 1993. 1993.
  • An Alphabet Coloring Book. Stiff mottled paper boards with silver printed label on upper cover, accordion-fold, orange faux crayon attached to red string, black and white illustrations. 1997.
  • Momiji. 1 accordion folded sheet in pictorial black paper covers; first and last leaf are attached to the covers. With plexiglass box, as issued. Published for the MBS Conclave, 2000. 2000.

We have a full service shipping department to ensure proper packing and safe delivery of purchases at reasonable cost. We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
