Twenty early poems by George Meredith culled from Household Words, 1850-56, and reprinted here for the first time in book form in an unauthorized edition, published just after Meredith's death. The compiler was Maurice Buxton Forman, the son of H. Buxton Forman, the publisher of Household Words. The book is a legitimate first edition and the limitation of 25 copies may be relied upon; there were, however, an unknown number of "out of series" copies.
