Description:

Four documents on four leaves, ink manuscripts in various hands, plus blue partially printed cover. Various sizes, 31.5x22.5 cm (12½x8¾") or smaller, stitched together.

Clemente is seeking his "redencion" redemption (freedom), he suffers from arthritis and even so continues working from "5 in the morning until the night", however he is not being paid his monthly wages of 3 pesos in gold and has been only given "6 pesos of paper" which is not worth the 3 pesos in gold, and the 6 pesos of paper is not even worth "3 pesos of silver"...; this month he was only given one peso. The Junta de Patronato de Guanabacoa grants Clemente his freedom and he is to be given his "cedula como libre" (ID of a free man).

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
