El Mormonismo: Un Resumen de su Origen y Doctrinas (wrapper title)

Ivins, Antonio

Independence, MO

Imprenta de Zion's Printing and Publishing Company

59 + [5 blank] pp. Portrait of Joseph ["José"] Smith. 17.7x11,5 cm (7x4½"), printed wrappers.

Scarce Spanish language resumé of the origins and doctrines of Mormonism, published by the Mexican Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints. OCLC lists only two copies of this 1927 edition, both at Brigham Young University, one with pagination and imprint as above, the other giving the page count as 62 pp., and the imprint as it appears on the front wrapper, "La Iglesia de Jesucristo de la Santos de los Ultimos Dias." Perhaps these are variant listings of the same item. Old ink writing above the portrait of Smith, "este Libro mecosto $10..."

Lot Amendments

Some moderate foxing and wear to wrappers, staples rusting with contents coming loose; light, mostly marginal staining within; about very good.
