2 volumes. Photogravure frontispieces, with 160 plates (7 in color) including facsimiles. (Folio) 32.5x25 cm (12¾x9¾"), original half-vellum and green cloth-covered boards, lettered on spine in gilt, top edges gilt, others untrimmed, decorative endpapers, decorative tissue guards. Printed at the Ballantyne Press. No. 53 of a total edition of 200, 175 of which were for sale. First Edition. 

Presented with Inro: A Paper Read Before the Japan Society, Feb. 13th, 1895 by Michael Tomkinson. An exhaustive catalogue of the arts and crafts of Japan, as collected by noted 19th century aficionado Michael Tomkinson. With cracked and partially detached slipcase for Volume II.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
