22.5x14.2 cm (9x5½"), brown cloth, lettering in gilt.

Devastating reports from the U.S. Congress concerning the massacre at Fort Pillow and the poor condition of returned prisoners of war, specifically reports 63 & 68. This scarce volume offers a harrowing account of war crimes committed during the course of the Civil War. Ink ownership marks and stamp on front pastedown.
