[12], 104 leaves. With Aldine printer's device on title page. (Small 8vo) 14.7x9.8 cm (5¾x4"), rebound in modern vellum by Gaivan, spine tooled in gilt with red morocco lettering piece, marbled endpapers. 

Historical commentaries on the speeches of Cicero by Roman historian Quintus Asconius Pedianus. Paulus Manutius was a Venetian printer with a humanist education, the third son of the famous printer Aldus Manutius and his wife Maria Torresano. Ownership marks in ink on title page and blanks, one page with an underlined line and margin note.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
