With 99 gelatin silver photographs, each measuring approx. 9.5x12.5 cm (4¾x5") or reverse, mounted on both sides of 50 black leaves, most with captions in white ink; plus 4 small photos affixed to front pastedown. Album measures 14.8x20 cm (5¾x7¾"), flexible leather.

Photograph album recording over a year of activities of a Pasadena family, including six of floats in the January 1, 1906 Rose Parade. Other photographs include a 1905 4th of July picnic in Eaton Canyon; views of and from Mt. Wilson; the Pasadena Library; an adobe building in San Gabriel; the train station at Lordsburg; a great view of the Salt Lake Railroad Station in Long Beach; a shack near Redlands; a bridge over Devil's Gate, Pasadena; the Hotel Raymond and Hotel Maryland, both in Pasadena; the Ocean Park Bath House on Christmas Day, 1905; the Long Beach Bath House; Port Los Angeles; plus various family members, etc. etc. An exceptional vernacular photograph album of Southern California, one of the most compelling we have seen.

We have a full service shipping department to ensure proper packing and safe delivery of purchases at reasonable cost. We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
