Important account of the third German Turfan expedition of 1905-1907, led by Grünwedel, the noted German Indologist, Tibetologist, archaeologist, and explorer of Central Asia. The English language edition, Ancient Buddhist Religion in Chinese Turkistan, appeared the same year.
