La Revue de Photographie - annuals for the years 1903-1907

Photo-Club de Paris

5 volumes of 6. Each annual with 36 plates from photographs some in half-tone, some in photogravure, some tipped-in on colored paper with tissue guards, as well as numerous in-text images.  27x22 cm (10½x8¾") universally bound in brown quarter morocco over marbled boards, marbled endpapers. First Edition.

This beautifully designed and illustrated monthly was published from 1903 to 1908. The articles covered technical problems and aesthetic issues, as well as reviews of salons in Europe and elsewhere.  Articles were written by Alfred Stieglitz, Leon Vidal, Constant Puyo, Robert Demachy, and many others. Included are five of the six published volumes (lacking the very rare volume for 1908). These are original editions of France’s largest circulation photographic magazine of the time, richly illustrated primarily by leading European and American photographers, and including reviews relating to their work.
Due to the size and/or weight of this lot extra shipping and/or handling charges may apply.
