xii, 560, [4] pp. Supervised and corrected with numerous additions by Merlinus Anglicus. Hand-colored title page emblem with frontispiece and 3 (of 4) additional hand-colored engraved plates, wood engravings in text. (8vo) 21.4x13.4 cm (8½x5¼"), half-leather with marbled boards. Seventh Edition. 

Lacking 1 plate (meant to have been between pp. 68-9). Extraordinary hand-colored plates. The Society of the Mecurii was an occult magical organization that operated in London, England, in the 1830s and was one of the primary groups that launched the occult and astrological revival that has led to the spectacular growth of the occult in the twentieth century.

Spine perished and taped together, binding well worn; front hinge detached, rear hinge crudely repaired with clear tape, frontispiece creased with stains and tears, title page stained, some light staining and soil within; good only.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
