Binding and box by Don Taylor, Bookbinder of Toronto, Canada. One of 280 copies on handmade paper from a total edition of 400 copies.

An early Vollard publication. Ambroise Vollard, was one of the most important dealers in French contemporary art at the beginning of the twentieth century. He is credited with providing exposure to numerous notable and then unknown artists, including Paul Cézanne, Aristide Maillol, Pablo Picasso, Georges Rouault, and others.
