Photographs inscribed to Dr. Berthold Lowenfeld, Superintendent of the California School of the Blind. The first photograph, with Keller seated on a daybed reading a book, is inscribed: "To Dr. Bertold Lowenfeld, Whom I honor for his light-radiating personality as well as his unflagging devotion to the blind"; the second, Keller seated on a couch, reads "To Dr. Berthold Lowenfeld, whose hand stretched out to the deaf-blind is among my happiest memories."
