6 vols. Some illustrated with plates of facsimiles and maps (most of which are folding); charts and tables. 8vo. Black cloth, spines lettered in gilt, jackets, all housed in two custom light blue linen slipcases. First Trade Editions.
Signed by Winston S. Churchill on Volume I title page. Churchill's complete six volume classic history on WWII, including: The Gathering Storm; Their Finest Hour; The Grant Alliance; The Hinge of Fate; Closing the Ring; and Triumph and Tragedy. Volume I with author's paper slip note tipped-in after his preface. Woods A123.b.
Condition:
Jacket spines a bit sunned, each with a few short tears (chiefly at spine ends), light soiling; volumes with some shelf wear and soiling; front hinge cracking and faint foxing to Vol. I page edges and contents, tiny dampstain to top page edge; Vol. II hinge towards rear cracking; else a very good to near fine set in like jackets with fine slipcases.
