Howard Haycraft writes: "the first humorous detective of any standing" and goes on to say that Christie's detective, Poirot, bears a resemblance to Valmont appears and "seems more than accidental."
Condition:
Spine leaning a bit, light soiling and shelf wear, some glue repairs to front joint and rear hinge; small white discoloration spot to front free endpaper and half-title, a few scattered dark stains; very good.
