| Originally published in Paris one year earlier. This edition with the first appearance of Kerouac's six page introduction, which was not included in the French edition, "Les Amercains", published in 1958 by Robert Delpire. Ownership signature of Joseph F. Rainaldi of Orlando, Florida, dated April 12, 1963 on the front pastedown. Charters B10. |

| Tears and chips to jacket, a few tape repairs, slight darkening, price clipped; cloth a bit soiled, small bumps and a dampstain to top edge; first signature from half-title to the second photo neatly detached / loosely laid in, occasional foxing; about very good in like jacket. Often found well-worn and the jacket is seldom seen with the book. |
