Illustrated with numerous plates from photographs, including a color plate of various trout flies and a color frontispiece of a Speckled Brook Trout, with tissue-guards; plus several wood engravings throughout text, including half-title and title pages. 8½x6¼, color pictorial boards, paper spine label, wooden-patterned endpapers, edges untrimmed. First Regular Edition.
Natural history and habits of the speckled trout, fishing in the Adirondacks, Beaverkill, and Nepigon. Contributions by Hallock, Chambers, Harris, Kent, Annin, Cheney, Rhead and Brown. Bruns R 50. From the Sondley Reference Library of Asheville, North Carolina, with their engraved bookplate, embossed stamps and other marks.
Condition:
Joints and extremities rubbed, fading to spine, 2" blue-gray painted line on lower spine; other light wear; else very good.
