3 volumes xxxvi, 261 + [1] ad; [2], 321 + [1] ad; [2], 288, [20] pp. With 20 copper-engraved plates, including the frontispiece portrait, 5 of them folding. 8¼x5, later half calf & marbled boards,
Important work on horsemanship, and the training of horses. One plate has a string "bridle" attached to moveable horse head, so one can practice the steering mechanism.
Condition:
Some light foxing within, darkening to the folding plates, near fine condition.
