| Description: |
| Includes: Foster, William Z. “Points that should be included in the Manifesto.” Carbon copy of typed manuscript draft, undated [but August 14, 1942]. 3 pp. Foster’s initials at bottom of the last page. In this paper, Foster makes the case for opening a Second Front in Europe to relieve pressure on the Soviet Union. * Foster, William Z. Report to the Communist Party Convention. July 27-29, 1945. Carbon copy of typed manuscript draft of Foster’s attack on Browder and his revisionist mistakes. 19 pp. Marked in pencil for distribution to Bob Minor and Jim Ford. * Minor, Robert. Suggestions on Foster’s Draft Report by Minor. Retained copy of Robert Minor’s suggestions for revisions which he believes will add strength to Foster’s report. Undated, but July 1945. 4 pp. Minor assures Foster that he heartily approves “of the firm and decisive line of the report as a whole. I think it would be the biggest mistake to soften it down in any degree whatever.” Together 3 items. |
