"The work by Dufour upon coffee, tea and chocolate is a classic. It is the standard reference for the early history and methods of preparation" (Bitting). This work went through several editions in French, Latin and English. It is also cited in Sabin (No. 21146) for containing material on natural history in America. The work has also been attributed to Jacob Spon. Bitting 134; Kress S.1578; Vicaire 293

Condition:

Light wear to binding, corners bumped, previous owners' names and bookplates, hinges crooks; some browning and foxing; very good.
