Lettersheet issue of this rare broadside, with the blank conjugate not present. Printed in eight columns, listing the lieutenant governor and president of the senate, John McDougal, and 19 senators, giving names, district, place of birth, state of origin, when emigrated, profession or occupation, age, and marital status. Among those listed are David C. Broderick, John Bidwell, Mariano G. Vallejo, and Elisha Crosby. Printed on thin lettersheet paper, apparently an issue of the broadside listed as Grennwood, California Imprints, 128. OCLC/WorldCat lists only five examples of the broadside, at the California State Library, the Huntington Library, University of California Berkeley, Yale University, and Indiana University. Not listed in Baird, which is not surprising, since it has no pictorial aspect. A rare and quite significant listing of some of the leading California politicians at the advent of statehood.
