Unpaginated. General title not present, New Testament with separate title page, with elaborate historiated woodcut border. (folio) 38x27 cm (15x10½"), disbound, spine still sewn. In custom folding box.

The 1613 folio edition of the King James Bible, following on the 1611 first edition. Herbert notes it as "The true 1613 folio edition of King James' Bible; easily distinguishable from the other large folio editions by its smaller type" resulting in 72 lines rather than 59. The Kalendar begins the work, followed by the Genealogies with woodcut illustrative vignettes ([2], 24 pp.) Next is the Old Testament beginning with the Book of Genesis. The verso of the final leaf of the Apocrypha, facing the New Testament title page, is filled with early ink manuscript in English. The present copy lacks the general title, some seven preliminary leaves comprising the dedication and preface, most of the 10th (final) leaf of the Kalendar, and five leaves at end of the New Testament (4M6, 4N1-4), and possible some other leaves as well, not collated.
