An interesting collection of railway ephemera, mostly transfer tickets and largely from urban American railway systems. Approximately 140 of the items are from similar European systems. Also includes a large group (approximately 100) of Pullman Company "Passenger's Check" tickets. Most are from the 1900s with a few from 1899 and a few from the first years of the 1910s. Some of the systems included in the collection are: New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad Company; New York City Railway Company; Norfolk Suburban Street Railway Company; Northampton & Amherst Street Railway Company; North Jersey Street Railway Company; Old Colony Street Railway Company; Philadelphia Rapid Transit Company; St. Louis Transit Company; Wellesley & Boston Street Railway Company; Citizen's Electric Street Railway Company; Hoosac Valley Street Railway Company; Minneapolis Street Railway Company; Mystic Valley Street Railway Company; and many others.
