[iv], 210 pp. 50 chromolithograph plates. (Folio) 13x10, period red half morocco and marbled boards, original wrappers bound in.

Lovely botanical plates after water-color paintings by Isaac Sprague, text by George Goodale.

Condition:

Binding well worn, bookplate of the Fletcher Free Library, Burlington, VT on front pastedown, a few ink numbering stamps internally but not on plates. Offsetting of text to plates in a few instances; overall plates clean and bright.
