Asks for submission of verses and sermons that “Garland’s article” refers to. * 1-page TLs from James MacArthrur on The Bookman letterhead, dated Feb. 2nd, 1895. Asks for a manuscript. Tipped along one edge to stiff backing. * 1-page ALs from Henry Altemus on his Philadelphia Bible Warehouse letterhead, dated July 15th, 1889. Request for submission of a work similar to his Horace. Tipped along one edge to stiff backing. * 2-page TLs from Edward W., Bok on Ladies' Home Journal letterhead, dated April 6, 1894. In regards to a recently submitted work. * 1-page from Ladies' Home Journal, printed for the most part with autograph writing. Dated April 6th 1894 (accompanies the previous) and details the remission of payment for poems submitted. All together nine letters to Eugene Field about his work.

The first letter is docketed in Field's microscopic autograph pencil, "Answered Yes, Mar. 24, 1894."
