Laudatory biography of John Adams, "a Patriot, who was a co-labourer with Thomas Jefferson, in effecting the Declaration of Independence of our Country, by Congress, on the 4th of July, 1776..." He concludes, "no one except Washington contributed more to give us a Country, and to establish our liberties than John Adams. The writer of this was a soldier of the Revolution; he is now upwards of eighty years of age, and has often been afflicted by the ungrateful treatment Mr. Adams received from some of his countrymen..." Signed by Willis at the end.
